NSIN has partnered with CloudCover to host The CloudCover Challenge, a capture-the-flag event for DoD certified agency cyber professionals, students and traditional cyber hackers.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The National Security Innovation Network (NSIN) has teamed up with CloudCover to host The Cloud Cover Challenge. This capture-the-flag style event invites students, traditional cyber hackers, and Department of Defense (DoD) certified agency cyber professionals to attempt to compromise CloudCover’s CyberSafety B1 Platform (CC/B1). The challenge will take place virtually on April 11, 2020, 10:00 AM MT.

“The advanced, leading-edge technology CloudCover has created, coupled with the customer’s openness to a challenge of this magnitude, presents a unique opportunity to showcase this offering to the U.S. government,” said Rachel Cheetham, NSIN Rocky Mountain Regional Director. “It is essential for national security that we provide access for innovative start-ups and small businesses to the DoD as part our efforts to find new solutions to such national security challenges.”

As part of The CloudCover Challenge, DoD cyber professionals are invited to virtually monitor breaching attempts to both the physical and virtual networks protected by CloudCover’s CC/B1. This will give DoD stakeholders the opportunity to see the platform in action and demonstrate the robust platform strength as CloudCover intends to block all hackers at 99.9999999% accuracy in microseconds with zero false positive results.

“CloudCover has always taken on ethical cyber-hackers as a way to validate the strength of our CyberSafety B1 Platform and we are excited to showcase this capability to DoD stakeholders through this unique public event,” said Stephen Cardot, CEO, CloudCover. “We are all aware of the many cyber threats that face our nation and we believe our solution has unprecedented ability to protect essential networks vital to national security. CloudCover AI/SOAR platform has been operational for well over twelve years and been at the center of numerous collegiate cyber-hacking challenges. The CC/B1 has recorded over 41+billion breach attempts and stopped each one in sub-seconds with zero false positive alerts. To date, this security threat solution has yet to be compromised.”

About NSIN:

NSIN is a Department of Defense (DOD) program office with the mission to build networks of innovators that generate new solutions to national security problems. NSIN does this by building communities of non-traditional defense problem solvers (the academic and venture communities), exposing these communities to national security problems, and supporting the further development and transition of these solutions into the DOD. To facilitate the building of this network of problem solvers and to actively solve DOD problems, NSIN delivers three portfolios of programs: Acceleration, Collaboration, and National Service.
