NSIN virtual event will highlight cyber and national security defense-related technology innovation in Omaha, NE.

NSIN in partnership with the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC), will showcase local defense innovation programs, startups, and cutting-edge technology at the virtual Defense Entrepreneurial Symposium. Entrepreneurs will hear from Congressman Don Bacon, the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, David G. Brown, and more about opportunities in Nebraska to solve today’s cyber and national security challenges. NSIN will highlight programs and networks available for innovators at the symposium on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021 at 9 a.m. CST.

The DES builds upon the decades-long close relationship between Offutt Air Force Base (including the United States Strategic Command and the 55th Wing), the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), and the business community. It invites organizations and people who might not otherwise work with the Department of Defense such as startups, early stage ventures, and the venture capital/investor communities to involve themselves in the innovative and rapid development of solutions to the DoD’s most vexing challenges. The new NSIN programs being introduced during the DES, in combination with multiple local business organizations provide the means by which business-DoD partnerships can be created and enhanced to improve our nation’s security.
