NEWS: Thirty-eight early-stage startups showcased their space technologies to potential partners in the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and other defense organizations at the Starts collider event.
NEWS: Fellows from 88 universities will spend their summer supporting 117 projects for military commands and helping solve some of our nation's most challenging national security issues.
MEDIA: X-Force Fellow Ryan Leventhal applies classroom learning to help solve tough real-world problems. 

NEW JULY 19 - AUG. 5, 2021

EVENT: Register to develop concepts, technologies, or systems to help collect, analyze, process, and visualize geospatial data in the harsh, unpredictable environments of the Arctic. Registration is open now and closes July 19. 

DEFENSE INNOVATION NEWS & EVENTS 

NEWS: NGA Accelerator is seeking next-generation geospatial-intelligence technology applications for up to eight companies to participate in a 13-week program that includes a $100,000 opportunity. The NGA Accelerator is an innovative partnership between the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and Capital Innovators.
NEWS: The legislation would boost funding for research and technology manufacturing to increase America's competitiveness, strengthen national security, and grow the economy.

EVENT: SoCal Tech Bridge, powered by NavalX, is hosting a demo day for electronics and unmanned logistics. See how commercial platforms are shaping the future of logistics and operations. 

JUNE 24, 2021

EVENT: Eight cutting-edge geospatial-tech startups will demonstrate their products. Register today for the inaugural NGA Accelerator powered by Capital Innovators Demo Day.

JUNE 25, 2021

EVENT: Thirty startups and small businesses will showcase their innovative, dual-use, space or space-related technologies. The event is powered by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory/Space Vehicles Directorate and the U.S. Space Force.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES 

The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) has three open solicitations:
  • Commercial unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to prototype for military use that can rapidly transport small payloads at sea and from ship to shore. Proposal due June 21.
  • A commercial talent marketplace to match Department of Defense mission needs with military personnel (Reservists and National Guard) seeking short-term, project-based duties. Proposal due June 25.
  • Commercial small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) solutions to support U.S. Army's Short Range Reconnaissance (SRR). Proposal due July 9.
