We are excited to collaborate with the Air Force and Techstars in this year’s Air Force Accelerator Powered by Techstars.

The importance of developing dual-use ventures that respond to real-world warfighter needs is what led NSIN (formerly MD5) to join AFWERX, Air Force Research Lab (AFRL), Air Education and Training Command (AETC) and BAE Systems FAST Labs to support this program.

After receiving hundreds of applications from ventures across the country, we have jointly selected the top ten companies who will participate in this year’s accelerator program, located in Boston. This class will benefit not only from the Techstars network and mentors, but also from the feedback of end users and liaisons from the Department of Defense and the industry.

We congratulate the 10 companies selected and thank all of the companies who submitted applications and participated in the selection process. You are all doing important work and the country needs more innovators like you.

This approach has led to a deeper bench of early stage ventures with previous DoD relationships. Currently, three of the 10 companies that were selected for this year’s class of the Air Force Accelerator Powered by Techstars have received SBIR Phase I awards.
